Hope everyone had a superb Spring Break and Easter with their families! We both had a great time on our family vacations and are convinced all of our kids went to school today in a serious chocolate/candy coma!
It is week 2 of the 'Color My World Challenge' and it is time for us to add some HOT PINK decor into our homes. When we said this color was going to challenge us, we were not kidding!
I have been trying to feel very pinkalicious lately, hoping it will be inspire me to come up with some pinkerrific ideas. I have quickly learned that it may be easier said than done in my decorating brain! I am such a color girl but I think the pink crayon may have just fallen out of the box along the way??? Here is my attempt at a PINK abstract painting. It could turn out really funky when it is all dry and the paint stops dripping....maybe.....hoping.....???
Here it is in my living room/playroom. I just propped it against another painting for now to get a feel for it in the room.
I think I like it better in my study keeping my bulldog company-how about you? I need to do some serious something with color behind these bookshelves!
Looking forward to painting something next week! I have to get my Benjamin Moore 'Hot Lips' back from my mom and paint something pinkalicious!
I had no idea how in the world I was going to bring pink into my home this week, and then I remembered the vintage Diane Von Furstenburg scarf I purchased awhile back. Guess what? It has pops of hot pink in it! However, I still wanted to keep this on the cheap and wasn't ready to fork out big money for a custom frame, so I wandered about my house in search of a frame I could repurpose. Spray paint to the rescue once again and here we have it!
I think my husband is relieved that the pink went in my office! What d'ya think?
